Congregation B’nai Israel offers the wide variety of religious services necessary to practice Jewish living. These include Friday evening and Saturday morning Sabbath services, weekday minyans, services for the High Holy Days (including Tashlich services and Junior Congregation services) and all Jewish holidays, weekly Junior Congregation services, and Tot Shabbat services designed for young families.
Sabbath Services Schedule
- Regular Friday Night Services begin at 8:00 PM.
- Friday Night Live Services, which will be scheduled occasionally during the school year, begin at 7:30 PM. Please keep an eye on the calendar for next scheduled Friday Night Live service.
- Friday Night Family Services, which will be scheduled occasionally during the school year, begin at 7:30 PM. Please keep an eye on the calendar for next scheduled Friday night Family service.
- Friday Night Shirey Shabbat Services, which will be scheduled occasionally, normally begin at 6:30 PM. Children 7 years old and younger and their families are especially invited to take part in the sweetness of Shabbat in a child-friendly and informal atmosphere. - Friday Night Birthday and Anniversary Services, which will be scheduled monthly, normally begin at 8:00 PM. They provide an opportunity to celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries occurring that month. Please keep an eye on the calendar for next scheduled Friday Night Birthday and Anniversary service.
- Regular Saturday Morning Services begin at 9:30 AM.
- Saturday Morning Junior Congregation Services, during the school year, begin at 10:30 PM and end by 12:00 Noon.
- Saturday Morning Torah Study Services normally begin at 9:30 AM on the fourth Saturday of each month. In these services, musaf is replaced by a participatory discussion of the parashah. Please keep an eye on the calendar for next scheduled Saturday Torah Study Service
Weekly Services Schedule
Minyan services are held on Thursday mornings and some Tuesday evenings (consult the calendar).
- Tuesday evening minyans begin at 7:45 PM.
- Thursday morning minyans begin at 8:00 AM.
