Sisterhood is the place to be for all the exciting events within the Synagogue! Come to one of our meetings and see what is happening.
Our next meetings are November 23 and Dec. 21, 2008 Chanukah in the classroom and 4th and 5th grade dinner is January 23, 2009. If anyone would like to help, please contact Jennifer Cohn.
October was the month of many Holidays. We had Sukkot and Simchat Torah. These holidays are among my favorite. They are a time when our synagogue seems to bond. Hopefully, these will not be the only time that we will bond, but all year round, let’s make it a commitment for everyone this year.
I would like to thank Judy Tavill and Leslie Hecht for the beautiful decorations in the Sukkah!
We are still looking for someone to run the gift shop and also someone to be Recording Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested or know of someone who might be, please contact Nancy.
If you have an idea for an event, please let us know! Take the challenge!
For those of you who have school aged children, we have an on going fundraiser at http://www.booksox.com. Please check their site for some spectacular savings. Also, those renewing their magazine subscriptions go to http://www.magfundraisers.com/ to renew and Sisterhood gets a percentage of the profit. We also have http://www.chocolategelt.com/ and http://www.koshergiftbaskets.com
Tablecloths to rent from Sisterhood for your CBI event, see Allison Newfeld in the office for details.
Bring a friend to the next meeting, get involved with your SISTERHOOD and the Synagogue. We do all this planning for YOUR children and grandchildren to get a wonderful Jewish experience at the synagogue and school. Without your help, none of this could be possible.
B’Shalom,
Nancy Postelnek
